Like Pearls and Earrings on a Chattering Pig - Condosleeza Rice on TV again.
Once more with feeling...

Farred Zakaria interviewed her in his measured way, with questions that are probing and fearless.
It is not necessary to describe her evasions, her weaseling, or her predictable huge pile of shit lies.

I was seeing a woman experiencing hell on earth. While in no way truly able to believe her own manufactured crap any longer she forces herself into a permanent defensive as she repeats herself like a conveyor belt.
Though the questions were different in this interview, her answers were the same.

It's unexamined and without insights or revisions; nothing she says holds water as she finds herself more and more alone. There is no doubt in my mind there is a broiling hell under the polished facade.

She makes herself believe it in order to survive another day of putting on pearls and earrings, a day of snarling like a tortured rat scratching with fangs out from the corner the unraveling lies have driven her into as the huge piles of dung dis-integrate. I can sense in looking at her what it must feel like to slowly go mad; she's like a rabid dog.

She sold her soul, and now it's gone.

Like we all, she has to live with the choices she has made.
As long as she is un-repenting, no charitable or compassionate thought can go her way from me, except to thank her on Mother's day to not have re-produced.

11. She seems to be the face
of the Bush team for the week. That gang must be a bit nervous right about now, sweating about what might be divulged by the records snagged in the bin Laden raid.

Way back in high school there was a teacher who held onto the lecturn with white knuckles, his eyes were all bugged out and constantly jerked back and forth as if looking for something, and he'd jump if someone moved behind him; we were told he'd been "shell shocked". For some reason he comes to mind when I see Rice or any of the others interviewed.

16. I wonder what she thinks she's doing with these interviews
After the way O'Donnell skewered her why would she think her pat answers would ever be accepted?

She looks like she's aged far more than two years. I don't think her life is idyllic now. At least not her inner life.

18. I often wonder about her students now at stanford...
I wouldn't be able to sit in a classroom with her teaching.

Here's part of an interview by Stanford on her coming back there:

Some students and faculty members have criticized your tenure in the Bush administration. Will you engage with your critics on campus and be open to debate surrounding the ideas you promoted and decisions you made in Washington?
Absolutely. It's perfectly legitimate to be critical of what's been a complicated and sometimes controversial and always consequential last eight years. The only thing I ask is that people be respectful of listening to the views and what we faced and how we went about it. But I have no problem with criticism. I'm an academic—debate is natural. Criticism is natural. It won't be the first time that policies we pursued were not popular or were not supported. But that's what academic institutions ought to be about.

here's the rest of her pat question and answers: (not that it's interesting)
