Wis. Dems Alleging GOP Fraud In Recalls
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/05/wis-dems-alleging-gop-fraud-in-recalls.php?ref=fpb

Eric Kleefeld | May 6, 2011, 12:11PM

Wisconsin Democrats, who are seeking to win a majority in the state Senate through recalls against six incumbent Republicans, have filed a challenge to Republican efforts to recall three Dems, alleging that vast levels of fraud will disqualify the Republican recall efforts against Democrats.

The Dems had previously announced that they would file such a challenge, citing stories of voters being misled into signing petitions. The Dems also alleged that Republican signature-gatherers were brought in from out of state and paid on a per-signature basis.

The Dems rolled rolled out their official complaint on Thursday, after making phone calls to almost 1,800 petition-signers, and acquiring affidavits from signers who say they were falsely told that the petitions were for other things -- such as supporting a local park, recalling a Republican state senator in a different district, or recalling Gov. Scott Walker.

Also from the Dems' announcement:

2. THIS looks like proof to me! >
http://gab.wi.gov/sites/default/files/Summary%20of%20All%20Fail%20Types%20for%20SD30.pdf

This claim was filed by Wisconsin Dems with the Government Accountability Board. It shows the number of invalid signatures and types of fraudulent methods used by the rethugs to recall Senator Dave Hansen. This shows the thugs do not have enough legitimate sigs to recall Hansen.

From DKos-
Basically, it breaks down as follows:
18,870 signatures turned in, then at least...
- 2,335 from out of the District
- 499 not signed in the 60 day period
- 516 with bad addresses
- 176 with bad circulator dates
- 1096 with bad circulator addresses
- 160 duplicate signatures
- 49 ineligible voters
- 361 fakes and forgeries
- 360 who stated they were lied to
= 13,318 signatures...
...which is 534 SHORT of the required number!

3. Here is the refute by "Recall Hansen" to the Democratic Party of Wisconsin
"Hog Wash. The GAB will not through (SIC-lol!) out over 5000 extra signatures. We understand the amount of work it has taken to get over 18,800 signatures to force a recall. It would be impossible for the democratic party to obtain over 5000 fictious, fraudulent, afidavits in 10 business day, to throw out this petition. Its a shame the democratic party would go to such a low level to disallow the voice and will of the people."

How dumb are they? Any one of these affidavits could be easily verified or refuted by contacting the person who filed it.

4. The question is, will the fraudulent signatures be tossed?
Or will the whole thing be allowed to pass by? It's pretty much one or the other.

5. Time will tell . If these sigs can be proven to be illegitimate
I don't see how the GAB can allow them through. If they do, well then, they'll only reveal that they are unworthy of their positions.
