I don't recall much outcry from the left when Clinton tried to take out OBL before 9/11 ... but Obama kills OBL AFTER 9/11, and parts of the left clutch their pearls and faint.

And there is a left and right component.

In 98, the right was angry at Clinton and screamed "No War for Monica" ... the left was largely silent.

Now in 2011, the right is angry at Obama for taking the credit away from Bush ... and parts of the left are very upset with Obama.

I'm not sure the questions posed or question posed would be answered if the missile strike hit its target. That would be predicated on all the other examples given. There was no position of capture concerning the missile attack. Its about what we do when are in position to have someone in custody.

10. You know by default I would have chosen try first, I was struggling with the bin laden case. But

then michael moore's article helped me realize that trying him first would have been the right thing to do.

It's who we are. Its what differentiates us between say... Saddam Hussein. (Who we tried first, by the way)
