Did the entire Bushco team crawl out since late Sunday
because they wanted to revise the torture meme, because they're worried that they might be implicated in the Bin Laden cover-up or both. How the fugg did they not know he was there since 2005?

8. I know that's part of it but is it all of it
I also think they are really upset that Obama has destroyed their 'we keep you sake' myth of a meme.

I hope they find something on them in the goodies from the 'mansion'. :hi:

As another DUer put it yesterday, "sadly, the greatest obstacle to getting the full truth of these past years has been the Obama Administration itself, shielding its predecessor." http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=439&topic_id=1048651&mesg_id=1051931 Why would they stop now?

5. I think they have already scooted out from the 'torture' thing ...
What they are trying to do is wrest a legacy from Obama as the 'hero' of recent events .... They want to claim as much credit as they can, by hook and by crook, in order to take as much as they can away from Obama .... It's the same was what you see in FB when 'friends' post stories pointedly giving only the soldiers the glory and refusing any credit to the CIC .... The same as what you see on every media outlet where assertions that the Bush Administration is to thank for this .... It's all envy of the black man, sitting in the office of POTUS, using his power to take down the (literally) most wanted criminal since Hitler himself ...

They are trying to deny him .... But even some conservatives cannot go so far .... Let's see how things shape up tomorrow ...

I suspect that.

28. David Frum was interesting on Maher last night.
He said 'Don't prosecute Intelligence professionals', and then Jeremy Skahill jumped down his throat for being complicit in torture.

What Jeremy failed to realize is that Frum left the door open to prosecute the political leadership.

I think Frum is a pretty smart guy.

31. My point was...
That Frum could be the last rational Republican. He left the door open for prosecutions of Rummy, Cheney, Bush, etc.

Jeremy missed an opportunity there, I think.

41. I don't think so. It seems more like he wanted to shift responsibility to
the intelligence community, and then make it disappear entirely by saying, 'let's not take it out on the intelligence community'.

The intelligence problem was that the Bush Administration stovepiped their own propaganda around the real intelligence agencies. The Bush Administration was responsible for the bad intelligence, not the real intelligence agencies.
