1. Wouldn't be so bad, but try getting any sort ot loan at all for under 6%.
And credit card interest can go as high as around 30%.

9. Oh hey man, didn't mean to add to the pressure. But really how can you pass that up?
You'll be rich beyond your wildest dreams, given time.

6. This is how damned old I am . . . . .
I remember when standard interest paid on a savings account was six percent, and if you borrowed money from the same bank (where the banker KNEW YOU and had an idea how much you made, and how much you owed -- because he held the loans) he charged you 12%!!!

And on that six percent differential, he lived in a nice clapboard house and drove a nice car. Not fancy. Just respectable. And he had kept his bank going during the Depression, and everybody in town respected him.

Can you imagine respecting a banker now???

8. Woohoo! You have to wonder...
aren't they completely embarrassed to send this offer? Do they tell you with a little star what the rate will be after 90 days?

As one who lived through the 80's, I just cannot wrap my head around these interest rates that have been so low for years now.

On the bright side, you will earn about $60 for nothing if you have $25,000 in "new money" to give them.

10. That's what I said to my wife. Who the hell thought this was a good idea?
Didn't someone in the marketing department say, um, that sounds really stupid.

They stole our homes, they ripped us off with 29% credit card interest, the screwed us over with ATM fees... now this glowing generosity! I may faint.
