Pakistani Army Chief Warns U.S. on Another Raid
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/06/world/asia/06react.html

By JANE PERLEZ
Published: May 5, 2011

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — The head of Pakistan’s army, Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, said Thursday that he would not tolerate a repeat of the American covert operation that killed Osama bin Laden, warning that any similar action would lead to a reconsideration of the relationship with the United States.

In his first public reaction to the American raid four days ago that left many Pakistanis questioning the capacities of the nation’s army, General Kayani did not appear in person, choosing instead to convey his angry message through a statement by his press office and in a closed meeting with selected Pakistani reporters.

The statement by the army’s press office said, “Any similar action violating the sovereignty of Pakistan will warrant a review on the level of military/intelligence cooperation with the United States.”

General Kayani had decided that the number of American military personnel in Pakistan were to be reduced “to the minimum essential,” the statement said.

4. Fun Fact : Pakistani Army Chief is also the Ex-Head of the ISI (during 2005 era)
In other words he was the one in charge of the ISI when Osama took residence in what might probably be an ISI safe house

6. I'm pretty sure this is the definition of chutzpah
You take billions of dollars in aid annually and have the gall to issue warnings, even after your inept/traitorous military undermined us at every turn? Apparently the Pakistani interpretation of "collaboration" seems to be "find out what the Americans are doing and tip off their enemies." If they're not happy with us I'm sure India would be more than happy to receive that extra funding.

9. +1
just to clarify, India is not asking for funding though..its only asking that America stop giving Money to Pakistan without any accountability..money wich will be used to line the pockets of the head honchos, the ISI, even fund the Taliban and AQ..not to mention buying weapons for use against India.

A better way would be to insist on accountability for the money being given...or come up with a way to disperse the aid directly tot he Pakistani citizens..which would not only prevent the money being mis-used, but would also serve in showing the common Man in Pakistan that America is actually doing good.

Btw, the person accused by India for masterminding the Taj Hotel Massacre, and a wanted terrorist by America was holding public Rally in Karachi in support of Osama after his death.

so much do "not knowing where terrorists are"

12. We can always give more support to India...
and cut our aid to Pakistan.

You can't buy friendship and it's foolish to give money to your enemies.

If it turns out Pakistan was harboring Osama bin Laden and is currently hiding other members of al Qaeda then Pakistan must consider us to be fools.
