PPP Poll Shows McCaskill in Dead Heat With Akin

So how much did charging taxpayers for a political trip on her private plane and avoiding paying state taxes on that plane hurt Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill? According to a new survey by the Democratic firm Public Policy Polling, not at all.

In a March PPP poll, 46 percent of Missouri voters approved of the Democrat’s job performance, the same number that approved of her in the survey released on Tuesday. The first-term Senator’s disapproval ticked up 2 points since March, a number within the margin of error.

But the poll didn’t bring only good news for McCaskill, who is a top GOP target next year.

In a matchup with likely Senate contender Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.), the race was essentially tied, with McCaskill garnering 46 percent to 45 percent for the six-term Congressman.

1. I am not at all happy with Claire
her response to me on EFCA was at best disheartening and a former auditor not paying her personal property taxes is disturbing. The use of the aircraft it seems was actually less expensive than what our former Sen Bond did, so I will give her a pass on that, but I may just skip that part of the ballot.

2. Or you all could replace her worthless ass while she is weak instead of building up strings and
tenure.

Locking in on these weak incumbents is suicidal, whether the crooks win or not.

3. I emailed her and asked her to resign after the tax
issue came to light. I believed it would be best for Governor Nixon to replace her with someone less tainted by these issues and they would then be the incumbent.

5. I hope I don't have to vote for her again.....but I won't be voting for a Repube, so...
she may be my only option. Hopefully she'll meet a strong challenger in the primary and I can support them instead.

I've never, ever, ever have liked McCaskill.

9. I had hopes when she ran, but those faded pretty quickly
which was a shame as I had hoped for a bit more of a Democrat in her.

8. She's dead meat either way. If she won the nomination Repubs win easily.
