With both Republicans and the Taliban sharing the goal of discrediting the president, the former has come close to spouting similar propaganda that the American president is too incompetent and aloof to take out the leader of AlQaida. While Republicans have thus far focused primarily on shifting credit to the most recent Republican in charge, evidence to the contrary has seen a growing sentiment among American conservatives that the killing was fabricated in an extreme "wag the dog" scenario to distract from domestic issues.
The right wing conspiracy theorists barely had time to lay out their case for a forged birth certificate when they were hit with this left cross of White House vindication. The result is a mad scramble of finding loose ends to tie in discrediting all things Obama. Ironically perhaps is that they now find themselves working overtime to tarnish the American image as well. Much as when Limbaugh stated his desire for Obama to fail, the right wing opponents find American credibility in the world view a necessary casualty in their political battle for the 2012 White House.
My fear is that AlQaida may dress up a Saudi impersonator as bin Laden and release grainy footage of the leader touting American stupidity. As I see it, two groups will eat this up with a spoon: Those in the Middle East who wish America harm, and those who think Donald Trump "tells it like it is". Unwittingly or not, they both seek the same means to an end.
