So who was the SECOND body taken by Seal Team 6?
According to Al Arabiya TWO bodies were spirited away on the helicopters...

"The US Special Forces only took two bodies with them in the military chopper; one is said to be Bin Laden’s and the other his son’s. By the time Pakistani security agencies and soldiers arrived at the spot, the US commandos were flying over the mountains in the Pakistani tribal belt, well on their way to Afghanistan."

1. ... "one is said to be Bin Laden’s and the other his son’s"
I think that answers your question.

7. Very interesting article.
The daughter has reportedly told her Pakistani investigators that the US forces captured her father alive but shot him dead in front of family members.

--snip--

Similarly, according to information Pakistani officials collected from detained persons, Osama was neither armed nor did inmates at the compound fire at the US choppers or commandos.

“Not a single bullet was fired from the compound at the US forces and their choppers. Their chopper developed some technical fault and crashed and the wreckage was left on the spot,” a well-informed official explained.

Lots of other interesting information in there, obviously who knows at this point. One thing I have heard kicked around, and I don't consider this a particularly stretch, is that bin Laden may have been under house arrest by ISI/Pakistani authorities. Obviously if this was bin Laden's hideout, it would seem very reasonable that he would have at least half a dozen bodyguards. In reality, except for the two cousins, I believe everyone else there was a child or a wife of one of the three men. And the only person who wasn't was a female Yemeni doctor.

I think we'll find out more in the coming weeks.

8. Nic Robertson seems to confirm the lack of a firefight
yesterday in a video clip at the site. The WH says there was "crossfire" but that could have been more than one SEAL firing from different directions.

This story has Bin Laden on a different floor and it has one more dead body. But other than that, it is consistent with the WH version of events.

I think you're right about the Paks having him essentially in custody. I don't believe there was any huge betrayal by Pakistan and tend to think at some point, they decided the time was right for him to go and that our government agreed.

2. Yeah, who is #6?
In the US version, the dead are OBL, his son, his two couriers, and the wife of one of those guys (or, that's the most distributed version).

3. This originally came from ISI and I heard it reported on CNN, say, yesterday?

I think it was Nick Roberts/Robertson (can't remember exactly what is last name is). They do not know whether the person was living or dead. Just that "another person" was taken.

If they had planned on the possibility of taking bin Laden alive, it would make sense that they would be outfitted with any restraints or whatever that they would need to transport him- and thus use that for a second person.

6. Even if they didn't plan to take him alive
they knew he was not at that site alone and so had to have a plan.
