PA school tells 5th grader US Flag, USA, bin-Laden death date face paint not allowed
DAUPHIN, Pa. - A Pennsylvania woman took her fifth-grade son out of school for the day after administrators decided his face paint marking the death of terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden was too disruptive for class.

Jennifer Tressler told The Patriot-News of Harrisburg she made the decision Monday after being told Connor had to remove the body art, which depicted a flag, the date of bin Laden's death and the letters U-S-A.

Central Dauphin School District spokeswoman Shannon Leib said the paint violated the student dress code.

"As part of their dress and grooming, they must adhere to a scholastic atmosphere, and the face paint was causing a distraction within the school," Leib said Tuesday.

3. This is at least your second post about Cinco de Mayo. Care to elucidate?
The kid was being disruptive, no one gets to wear face paint in class. How could the kids get their minds off that?

7. Anyone here...
...have red, white and blue facepaint just collecting dust in their homes? I'm pretty damned patriotic (my flag is up this week...and lit properly), but I sure as hell have never had red, white and blue facepaint.

Oh...nv. It's PA. Got it. Still...pretty good observation, I think.

And, just to keep myself from looking worse, I don't have orange and blue facepaint either. :+
