I figured it out. The trickle down works...selectively.
I understand why poorer right-wingers are fighting tooth and nail to keep the rich, rich. I almost hate to admit how I figured it out. I got the info through facebook. Someone I know closely, who lives in Alabama, seemed to be a leech, always asking for money from the family patriarch. It's hard to say anything bad about the person's intentions, since they do take on some remarkable causes. Big hearted. Problem is, they don't have money and never will and yet, they are against Obama's national care program.

So, begging a family Patriarch every year for money fits into their mindset, as it is to be against "Obamacare" and all those other crazy Republican ideas which will make them even poorer.

I don't know how to use this info and turn it around to get Dem votes, but, I think it's an Achille's heel. I can say from my observation, people who are doing well are Democrats who followed very traditional careers paths, and the poor Republicans are the ones who follow the iconic Republican hot buttons: Christianity, anti-government, etc. The problem with the latter, is that the poorer ones can only "afford" Republican values if they leech from their wealthier family members. This can't possibly jive with what Repubs had in mind.
