Reminder: Bill Clinton wasn't wagging the dog.
When Bill Clinton tried to kill bin Laden, a US Senator asked "were these forces sent at this time because he needed to divert our attention from his personal problems?" The senator declared, "there is a cloud over this presidency." Can anybody name that Senator?

7. But how insane is that?
How is it that people now, today, are arguing that Bush deserves credit for killing bin Laden, when his attorney general was one of the men who worked to discourage President Clinton from trying to kill bin Laden?

12. Like me they probably don't remember much about Ashcroft before his hit single "Let The Eagle Soar"
If i had heard anything about John Ashcroft prior to the debut of Let The Eagle Soar, most of that would have been likely eclipsed and forgotten. Memory can be a gold bricking bastard. I remember only that he had somee statues' nay-nays covered up right after he took over at Justice, (the Taliban were blowing up Buddhas on the other side of the world) and that he was working the FBI overtime at putting hussies down there in New Orleans behind bars, whilst Mo Atta and pals were training to strike the World Trade Center.

11. They wasted a whole year of Bill Clinton's time on his sexual affairs
Edited on Tue May-03-11 01:45 AM by bluestateguy
How much time did he lose responding to bullshit subpeonas and demands from Ken Starr and congressional witch hunt committees? Time that could have been spent on terrorism.

The Clinton Wars are still a sore subject with me.

13. Turned out, it was Ashcroft who was guilty of wagging the dog.
If you want to know what Republicans are up to, see what it is that they are accusing Democrats of doing.
