Is Bill Clinton getting any props from anybody anywhere today?
Not to minimize President Obama's role in this victory but I think that it's fair to share the credit for the success of the operation/search for Bin Laden with former POTUS Bill Clinton and his national security team as well. All those "tools" that people are saying that Bush gave Obama are, part and parcel, some of the same "tools" that the outgoing Clinton Administration and, in particular, Richard Clarke attempted to offer the Bush (mis-)Administration during its transitional period. Much of what the Bush (mis-)Administration did, at least initially, post-9/11 came from the anti-terrorist plan that the Clinton Administration developed after the bombing of the USS Cole in 2000. Does the Clinton team not deserve some credit as well?

1. It's Obama's day. He doesn't have to share it.
The fine points of analysis can come later.

3. Bill Clinton is not making decisions right now.
He is not President. Why is is that people cannot let our President be given credit for any action or decision he takes? I'm sorry but President Obama is the Commander.

4. I heard Obama had called Clinton to let him know we'd killed bin Laden.
He called Junior too. Ever the centrist, Obama will give undeserved credit to Junior if he gives deserved credit to Clinton. This being the case, I'd prefer that he says nothing in this respect.

6. Just to be clear
I'm not trying to deny Obama any credit whatsoever. I guess I am speaking more in response to right-wing assertions that Bush deserves credit for doing things that Clinton had Clarke had developed themselves before leaving office.

7. Clinton had a number of opportunities to get bin Laden.
But did not for one reason or another. He should not get any credit. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4540958/ns/nightly_news/
