What is lost in the discussion.
Edited on Mon May-02-11 03:25 PM by RandomThoughts
is how people see it by sides.

Sides defined by the very institutions that create the sides.

The removal of Osama as a symbol of need for terror should be removed, but we must not forget how that was used by people to remove rights in the USA.

How it was used for empire invasion of Iraq.

Osama was an ally of many in the USA, if even by advantage of how the effect of many false tapes could be used against a population, and how a boogey man could be used to rationalize the removal of the Bill of Rights.

The removal of Osama should be the start of the removal of the methods of control over USA citizens that many in the USA used him as an ally to establish those unjust actions.

Weather those unjust actions are the use of Patriot act, unlawful search and seizures, limitations of speech, including isolation of groups that have not done wrong but are isolated for political reasons, or any other of the allies of Osama that need removal.

On the note of the comment of isolation of terrorist, remember society will also try and isolate better thoughts if they believe in censorship and are not of best thoughts themselves, function not data, McCarthyism is isolation of a group.

So there has to be more then isolation, but introspection on the topics and thoughts of the groups that people try to isolate. Bin Laden, and the symbol for violence should be removed, as it is not a good way to do policy to attack countries to further ideological gains. Iraq war for example.

But keep in mind that people use things like Bin Laden as a boogey man so they can do the same things as him, and many times for some other ideology or even the same ideology.

From that isolating should be an isolation by showing people the wrong of actions, as in the peaceful non violent protest forms an isolation against those that would use violence for ideological gains that go against what most think is just.

Isolation should be by education, then the choice of the individual, not by censorship, since in many cases the censors do so for other reasons, or for even worse reasons, where if people learn the situations in many places, then all of society will isolate those that do worse.

Lets not let the same group that hyped him as an enemy so we would not see the corruption, hype the removal, so we do not see what still needs to be done.

There is much work to be done, removal of patriot act, transparency in banking and finance, and breaking up of the consolidations. And of coarse, I am due beer and travel money, and many experiences.

And this is a good song, and it challenges your perspectives.

2. Thoughtful OP.
I thoroughly agree that now we can begin dismantling the police state that was actually a victory for OBL.

And yes, everything is always viewed depending on which side we are on.

Maybe now you'll even get your beer and travel money, who knows? :-)

Rec'd but the unreccers have been busy for some reason. I guess they have taken a side, which means there should be no thoughtful reflection on the meaning of all these violent events, at least in their minds.
