Donald Trump Fires Back After David Letterman Calls Him a Racist
Source: Fox News

In the latest round in the war between Donald Trump and a growing list of the heaviest hitters in show business, the real-estate mogul and "Celebrity Apprentice" host fired back at David Letterman over the late-night host's on-air suggestion that Trump is a racist.

In a letter he sent to the gap-toothed comic on Friday, Trump canceled an appearance on "Late Show With David Letterman" and lambasted Dave for saying Trump's prolonged attacks on President Obama had begun to "smack of racism."

"I was disappointed to hear the statements you made about me last night on your show that I was a 'racist,' " Trump wrote to Letterman. "In actuality, nothing could be further from the truth and there is nobody who is less of a racist than Donald Trump."

He continued: "Based upon your statements, and despite the fact that we have always done so well together, especially in your ratings, I am canceling my May 18th appearance on your show.

Well, you won't hear David Letterman writing a letter to Fox News complaining of being called a "gap-toothed comic". Good for Letterman, now I will not turn off the May 18th show because Trump is on it---this may be a ratings bonanza for "The Late Show".

Ironically, Trump, the Insulter-in-Chief, is too much of a coward to personally defend himself of criticism anywhere but friendly news outlets like Fox News. Trump-Palin here we come . . .

1. I never liked Donald Trump.
But I gotta say, over the last week he has shown himself to be an even bigger asshat than I thought.

What a thin-skinned hypocrite. He can dish it out but he can't take it. The Republicans can have this clown.

12. Far from classic in my estimation
he is way beyond a typical narcissist, and it's almost surreal to the degree with which he deems himself.

3. In the same interview
Letterman said he didn't know if Trump would appear on his show and wondered aloud if he even want's him to. I don't think Letterman will lose any sleep over Trump making that decision for him.

Trump just gave him the go-ahead.

9. A true leader (such as BHO) would just ignore that crap
The fact that Trump stops and fires back each time someones says something negative about him shows he does not have the stuff to be president.

10. "...nobody who is less of a racist than Donald Trump."
Can't help but feel that referring to himself in the third person like this means (1) he's a narcissistic shitstain, and (2) he's lying and he knows it.

14. There are not many in MSM willing to call Trump on his opportunistic
use of racism to gather the GOP following. I only wish Letterman did not suggest Trump was racist, but
said he believed his words and actions are in his opinion racist...YET, I'll take it nonetheless, kudos to Letterman.

I hope he in no way back tracks from it.
