Clorox responds to my consumer e-mail
I let them know that cavorting and linking themselves to Trump wa bad business...bad for my business.

Their response leads me to believe that are happy to cavort with Trump.

Dear Sheepshank,
Thank you for contacting us and sharing your views about television sponsorships.

As you can imagine, today’s programming environment is extremely challenging for responsible advertisers. However, the Clorox Company prides itself in being a responsible advertiser. For many years, we’ve had written standards that guide the selection of programs and episodes on which we advertise. We understand they are among the most stringent in our industry, and we have made it our responsibility to continually evaluate the advertising environment and the sustainability of programs for our messages. However, we believe the best force for change is the television audience. For this reason, we urge viewers to let the networks know about their concerns.

Again, thank you for sharing your views advocating responsible corporate sponsorship and your comments will be shared with our Advertising team.

Sincerely,
Danielle Dawson

1. Sounds like a form letter to me.
Guess they need to get more complaints before they take them seriously.

2. I'm not sure they are "happy to cavort with Trump"
but are most concerned with the bottom line and not politics.

In fact, they state at the end that they "believe the best force for change is the television audience. For this reason, we urge viewers to let the networks know about their concerns."

3. You'll have to stop drinking Clorox and switch to a different brand.
I suppose.

4. Clorox lost me when they started pressuring mothers to disinfect everything their children touch,
claiming that it is the "healthy" thing to do, when research suggests just the opposite. Kids need exposure to germs to develop healthy immune systems, and hyper-sanitized homes are linked to asthma.

They also ran those shameless commercials for a special new Clorox formula (!) that's "safe to use around food, kids, and pets." In other words, they charged the same money for a highly diluted solution.

They are despicable.

6. More reason to quit using their products, they are full of chemicals - I have a long time ago.
If you can, get a steamer. You can steam away those germs chemical free.
