1. Maybe. If nothing else it's going to be interesting to see what this
assassination does to U.S./Pakistan relations.

3. A reporter there on the ground told Amy that it's risible
to believe our military could get there without the Pakistanis knowing about it. Then Jeremy Scahill reminded that McChystal cut a deal with them that allowed them to deny knowing anything about a hot pursuit of Bin Laden.

Amy's show today was packed and will be the best analysis you can get for weeks.

7. It is highly doubtful that the US could have flown helicopters
into an area that had so many military assets without being detected by the Pakistani air defense systems. This was an area that the Pakistani military would have been closely monitoring 24/7.

4. Pakistan uses extremists as part of it's own goals.
We've all known that for a long time now.

6. Maybe
that's why the reports indicate that whenever the Pakistani military was notified, the targets would disappear.

Of course, this could be a brilliant ploy to con gullible Americans into believing that the already dead bin Laden is actually dead.

10. Someone this morning (getting garbled now) described it
as a garrison town full of military retirees.
