That was fast, Rumsfeld states: Intelligence may have come from Gitmo
The proven liar on so much regarding Iraq, wastes no time today to defend torture. Matt Lauer, true to form,
does not challenge Rumsfeld.

6. You know Matt Lauer is not going to confront Rumsfeld and he sure as hell
wasn't going to bring this up either:

Bush: Truly not concerned about bin Laden (short version)

When you're incapable of capturing a criminal for so many years, cowards and liars claim they are irrelevant...that's Bush.

2. Rumsfels should be IN Gitmo
Along with many, many others.

Instead he gets to rehabilitate his image further on the Today show because OUR president got the job done that Rumsfeld and the rest of the Bush administration COULDN'T GET THE MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

3. This meme is starting to gain traction - NPR made some mention
of "intelligence obtained through detainees", attempting to hint that Gitmo has its benefits. :banghead:

8. It appears to be going in that direction from the Bush Regime, yes.
I noticed the reference here too, although not with an endorsement of torture.

snip* The initial lead which led to his assassination came out of interrogations of Guantanamo inmates – interrogations which often used torture, a fact that has been condemned by human rights groups. One of these interrogations, of top al-Qaida operative who was close to Khaled Shiekh Muhammad, was helpful in indentifying some of bin Laden's closest aides. U.S. intelligence caught up to them and put them under surveillance. Other HUMINT sources of those part of circles close and far to him and who knew of his hideout were exposed as well. The main principle guiding intelligence officials was "follow the money." The first tips as to his hideout arrived over six months ago, after intelligence officers were able to track courriers in charge of the money transfers bin Laden orchestrated to his Pakistan hideout in order to sustain his wives as well as himself. WikiLeaks documents have already proven that the CIA did not trust the ASA, Pakistani intelligence, many officials of which were suspected of harboring Taliban and al-Qaida sympathies and of hating the United States.
