To whatever providence there may be:

I pray that while we rejoice about a dead terrorist
we do not mistake that for victory.

That we do not go
"gee, that was why we stayed in afghanistan"

That we do not lose focus,
that America's great enemies
are not foreign
but the domestic ones
that will gladly feed ten thousand Ben ladins
if it means they get to keep making money.
and that we do not forget
that wisdom and charity
hope and solidarity
are better weapons
than any bomb or gun will ever be.
