They announced that they had increased the security level on base -

Increased alert expected to cause delays at Keesler gates

BILOXI -- An increase in the “potential of terrorist operations worldwide” has caused the level of alert to increase at U.S. Air Force bases, including Keesler AFB.

Alert has gone from Alpha to Bravo and all base personnel and family members at Keesler are to remain alert and report suspicious incidents or objects to security forces.

Officials at Keesler said the higher alert means more stringent requirements to get onto base, so people attempting to do so should expect delays at the gates.
