Fox panelists accuse White House of ‘cynical’ handling of birther issue

In this clip from “Fox News Watch” we are treated to a sight as rare and strange as that of a snake swallowing its own tail. Watch as a majority of the panelists manage to work themselves around to accusing the Obama administration of intentionally allowing questions about the president’s background to “percolate”.

Host Jon Scott characterizes such a strategy as a “cynical” gambit to win political points. It calls to mind blogger Michelle Malkin’s bizarre claim from August of 2004 that John Kerry shot himself to win a purple heart medal in Vietnam.

Alan Colmes does his best to act as the group’s sole voice of reason. He suggests that the questions about Obama’s background are rooted in racism and some people’s perception of the president’s “otherness”.
