Trump DOES have one quality I admire...just the quality, not his timing or the way he pulls it off.

Sometimes you just have to step up and say "fuck you, and the horse you rode in on"...now, as I said in the thread title, I don't think Trump pulls it off that well, but there are times in my life when people are expecting me to powder and diaper their bottoms and I just don't feel like it, you know?

A candidate with insight, talent, experience and perfect timing when it comes to telling the right people to fuck off at the right time would have the makings of a legendary president.

Trump has the makings of a footnote.

1. Seems to me that is 95% of what we hear from him.
You'd think he'd be better at it.

2. That's what I'm saying...he knows how the game is played, he just doesn't play it well.
I've known a precious small handful of people in my life that you could screw with all day long, but once they tired of it and put their foot down, everyone, without exception, shut down and backed the fuck off. When you actually witness it, it's truly a thing of wonder, an art form, because it's not about conflict, it's about having enough power, authority and self-confidence to flip the light switch to "off," and they go OFF...immediately.

Right now Trump just seems to be generating laughs. But I pray to God his credibility holds to somewhere around November 2012, then crashes down like the proverbial house of cards. Maybe some unforgivable "Macaca Moment" after he becomes the GOP candidate.

4. i think the key is rarity. if you do something all the time no one is going to pay attention.
if you saved it for when you need it, they might notice.

5. The key is firepower
once you shoot the first guy, all the rest become a lot more willing to be reasonable

8. The famous "Richie & The Fonz" scene from "Happy Days"...
..>Fonzie coaches Richie on how to defend himself in a fight, but it doesn't work, and Fonzie gives him an "oh, I forgot to tell you, you need to have been in at least one fight and WON first" response.

But you're right. It only takes one well-timed, well-synchronized event, and the big stick can be put back in the drawer in favor of soft speaking. People who do it all the time...like Trump...are barking dogs and circus clowns.

:patriot:
