Isn't there a better solution to our problems than cruise missile diplomacy?

Can't we think of a better way to get rid of these thuggish dictators we don't approve of any more besides dropping bombs and missiles? Like find them a place to go. All we would have to do is tell one of the thuggish dictators in some other country who we still do like to take them in and they will.

Saudi Arabia took in Idi Amin. He wasn't just killing his people. He was eating them. If someone needed a bomb dropped on them it was him. But we(the US), arranged for Amin to live out his days in Saudi Arabia in high style until he died.(Hope they put stake in his heart after he died.)

Why don't we do that any more? Sounds like the easy way out to me. It is almost like we don't do things the easy way any more. Like we need to put on a big long drawn out show or something?
