OMFG David Gregory! He just let Marco Rubio say that the Ryan budget does NOT cut medicare!
Rubio said the only people that cut Medicare are the ones that voted for "Obamacare". David asked him "you don't think a voucher program will change medicare?"... note... that was a yes or no question. Rubio said no.

And that was that.

Disclaimer - the only reason I even watched after months of not watching is because Seth Meyers is on.

Tim Russert must be rolling in his grave. Say what you want about Russert, I seriously doubt he would've let Rubio get away with that LIE.

the damned show is now a total gift to Rethug liars now with Gregory. I imagine his bank account must be brimming though in payment for his total incompetence and renunciation of any journalistic integrity.

5. If it doesn't cut Medicare, no point in passing it is there? At least
there shouldn't be any objection to throwing that part out. Why go to a voucher system if it doesn't cut anything?

8. I know - Axelrod was really going after McDonnell & Gregory changed the subject, along with ignoring
Axelrod when he said Obama showed his long form birth certificate to get people like Gregory to stop talking about it - the Gregory continued talking about it.

What a worthless show... I won't call it a news program, because it's not.

We say gravity. Republicans say pigs can fly! The media doesn't want to take sides for fear of being accused of being biased.

Media expects "The American People" to decide, only 35% of them people are fucking kooks and are willing to let their guys say and do anything if it means that "They're winning".

And we end up gutting Medicare so we can pay for airports for flying pigs.

37. I don't think that is the entire problem. I really doubt that
Gregory had a full understanding of the bill. I have noticed that most of them are going along with what they have heard, no reading, no research. They seem to sleepwalking through their job.

It has become even more evident since I have started streaming Al-Jazeera English to my TV. There is marked professionalism on AJN that is missing in among the majority of American TV Celebrity reporters and anchors.

9. For all we know it is possible the funds provided for Medicare won't be cut.
But it won't keep up with the crazy growth in costs that is expected and therefore previous access to services won't be covered.

But Medicare isn't the problem...our health care system is.

13. David Gregory is a dick for sure, however it was an opinion question
He asked the guy if he "thought" a voucher program would change medicare and he answered "no". That's not necessarily a lie, maybe he really does think that.

Thinking that the voucher program wouldn't change medicare indicates a very limited reasoning capacity, but who knows. Stupid people get elected to public office all the time.

Gregory is a big step down from Russert, who was himself, a pretty big step down from previous MTP hosts.

26. All of which are untrue.
What is needed for Medicare is to redo Medicare Part D so that it is in charge of the drug plans not the insurance companies and finish getting rid of Medicare Advantage programs also being drained by the insurance companies. They are the problem, not traditional Medicare as framed by the Johnson administration.

He frequently lets the lies slide by with the conservatives, which is why I don't watch MTP very much anymore or hardly any of the Sunday news programs. It gives the liars credibility when you don't expose them.

24. How the heck was that FAIR or BALANCED??
Since when does MTP give feature interviews of freshmen Senators who are dripping wet behind the ears? For chrissake, Rubio hasn't even been in the Senate for a year and he gets ten minutes on MTP unopposed??? WTF? This guy has been TERRIBLE for Florida and will be even worse in Congress.

Hey Gregory... why didn't you just roll out a FREAKING RED CARPET for him to step up to that lovely platform???? hmmmm???

Gregory is famous for inviting RepubliCONS on his show so they can "frame the debate."

He's one of the media's masters of misspeak, lies, misinformation, etc. He sucks elephant ass.

35. Remembering back to the day when Spivak had a real media to choose from.
Russert gave us one person in charge, a fake balance of a Russert Dem to a corporate media machine.

Now, we're off balance.

And, have no media.

We're stuck with a David Gregory, and a failing country.

39. This is why the Media are not trusted. Rubio is the darling of the
GOP and Gregory did not have the spine to correct him.
Sad but not many would dare contradict him on his coming
out party. After he is out there to put a "preety face
on the not so pretty Republican Party.
