OWS and Forum Rules

I have been wondering how the new reality of the Occupy movement might affect the rules for posting during an election cycle. Unfortunately I posted the question in GD under "Granite Tombstones, an Election Cycle, and a D.U.. dilemma". The thread was locked, but the moderator was patient enough and polite to explain that my question belongs here. It was not my intent to criticise the rules as they have been applied inthe past, nor to second guess. Rather, I am honestly wondering if Occupy will necessitate a reevaluation. Also my intent was to start sensible discussion as to how both DU and the democrattic party are going to relate to Occupy when it comes down to the wire. Thanks for your time.

1. My feeling is that it's not going to be a problem

But I guess we'll see what happens. At this point, however, we don't think there's any need to change the rules.
