keep advertising for supplement sellers out of the Health Forum. I take supplements, specifically a multi-vitamin for seniors and vitamin D, as recommended by my physician. Some of these supplement websites, however, make outrageous claims for their overpriced products. If a physician prescribes a supplement, he or she never specifically recommends product from one or another supplement seller.
The Health Forum can be a very useful resource, but not when questionable posts tout the products of one seller. That does DUers a disservice. All supplements needed can be purchased at any local drugstore, and for prices far below the inflated product sold at these supplement websites by using misleading articles to sell their particular formulation.
The Health forum is useful when it provides accurate science-based and evidence-based information. It is misleading when it touts particular products sold by particular supplement websites.
Thanks for all the hard work in discerning what is appropriate and what is not.
