Impeachment of Obama
Edited on Sat Oct-08-11 10:01 PM by tama
I would like to know how calling for impeachment of any president who breaks his oath and violates US Constitution - including Obama who ordered unlawful murder of US citizen - violates DU rules?

I've read the rules but can't find there the justification for deleting a post calling for impeachment of Obama. Hope you can clarify if it is really against the rules (and not just over eager moderation), and if it is, based on which specific rule?

Edit to add:

The post calling for impeachment (simply: "Impeach nt") was in a thread with OP about "Secret U.S. Memo Made Legal Case to Kill a Citizen" (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x2083316), so the context was provided and the call for impeachment the constitutional way to clarify the validity of the alleged "Legal Case".

I sincerely hope that moderator team has a discussion on this subject, about whether it is really against DU rules to discuss if president - including a Democratic president - should or should not be held above the law. Including discussions about whether Obama has in fact broken his oath to upheld the US constitution and due constitutional process to settle the matter - impeachment.

Thank you.

1. I have so little sympathy for this complaint.
Yes, I know that at some point Dennis Kucinich used the I-word, so I guess we can't make it completely against the rules. But as far as I'm concerned, if you're calling for President Obama's impeachment, you're providing aid and comfort to the Republicans.

So, I guess the answer is this: You take your chances.
