How is this not a call-out if my post is one?

This is very similar to my post at

The difference is that this post actually alleges that people on DU are "marginalizing" Obama's record on LGBT*.* issues. Mine only implies that some people, not necessarily those on DU, are overinflating same record.

If the rules are to be applied impartially then either both get locked or both are allowed to stand. Anything else is hypocrisy and bias.

1. Your post repeatedly refers to Obama supporters as "cowards"

The point is that certain people trumpeting insignificant achievements alienate people from acknowledging real achievements.

The "cowards" refers to characters in the piece who were in a much better position to protect themselves than the honeybee yet refused to do so. It's not a direct reference to Obama supporters.

3. That is less than convincing.

In your piece you wrote "THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS THAT NO BEE, LEADER, OR SINGLE ANIMAL HAS DONE MORE FOR THIS VILLAGE IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE WORLD. NO JOKE!"

Obviously this is a direct reference to the Unicorn Booty blog's claim that "the fact of the matter is that no president, politician, or single person has done more for the LGBT community in the entire history of our country. No joke." which was posted http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=433&topic_id=777350&mesg_id=777350">here two days ago.

So the bee is an analogue for Barack Obama.

Then the rest of your piece is full of comments like:

"The honeybee is a great protector!" said the lamb.

"The bee is making the flowers grow! No one else can make the flowers grow!"

"Truly the bee has done more for this village than any other leader we've had!"

"LOOK AT THE BEE!" gushed the duck.

"THE BEE IS MAKING FOOD THAT WILL FEED US ALL!" bleated the lamb.

So the duck and the lamb are analogues for people who, in your opinion, are sycophantic, unthinking supporters of the President. You refer to these characters as "cowards" earlier in the piece.

Your claim that these characters are not meant to represent Obama's supporters here on DU doesn't hold water. You've spent the past two days arguing with those very people over the Unicorn Booty comments which are referenced unmistakably in your fable.

I don't think I'm misinterpreting your analogy.

And you still haven't answered the question about Vabarella's call-out thread, where she goes after those of us who "minimize" the President's accomplishments.

5. And a clarification here.

I'm not referring to your bias as being Anti-gay (although I believe that the moderators who orchestrated its locking are anti-gay and biased).

I refer to your bias against anyone who is not 100000% behind Obama.

Your bias against anyone who doesn't think that criticizing the President when he's wrong is blasphemy.

Your bias against anyone who doesn't want to elevate the President's symbolic actions to being ground breaking achievements.

And if you identify with the characters I called "cowards" and see yourself in them that's not my doing.

You know, over the past seven days, you have heaped scorn and abuse on the Moderators and Administrators in numerous alerts filled with vile language. You have sent rude private messages to all three Administrators. After you had a thread locked by a Moderator last week you sent her a private message with the subject line "Fuck you." You have had numerous rude and abusive questions deleted from this forum. And now you're in here berating me and the Moderators yet again.

Given all that I'd say you have been treated extremely fairly.

There are limits, however. When you are ready to participate in the Ask The Administrators forum in a respectful manner, send me a private message and I will reinstate your access.
