Why has this post been allowed to remain?

If I were to accuse Christians of being dangerous because of the Inquisition and Holocaust, my post would be deleted for being a bigoted, broad-brush attack.
If I were to accuse Mormons of being dangerous because of the Mountain Meadows massacre, my post would be deleted for being a bigoted, broad-brush attack.
If I were to accuse Muslims of being dangerous because of Al Qaida, my post would be deleted for being a bigoted, broad-brush attack.

Yet here, a DUer repeatedly posts that any assemblage of atheists is dangerous because of the French Revolution and totalitarian states, and despite being alerted on by multiple people, it gets to remain. I don't exactly mind this posters overt prejudices staying up for all to see, but really.

1. The hypothetical situation you describe
did occur just a few posts later (it wasn't you that posted it), and that post has also been allowed to remain. While making his point, the author of the post noted that, "I DO NOT think that Christians in general should be tarred with the crimes of all violent and authoritarian Christian rulers or organizations." Similarly, the person you are complaining about wrote a few posts later, "I am speaking about radical atheist movements."

2. The person I'm "complaining" does try to tar all atheists with the crimes of violent atheist rulers.

The argument has been made that atheist organizations are dangerous because atheism is in itself dangerous. Totalitarian regimes are then cited as evidence, and now it has been confirmed that the poster in question sees atheist groups amas identical to totalitarian regimes in spirit because both have atheists.

This is straightforward bigotry and I'm disappointed that it's deemed acceptable here.
