1. The moderators had a lengthy discussion about this thread

They were unsure of the legality of the discussion. Ultimately they decided to lock the thread. I have overruled their decision and deleted it entirely. I don't see why any of our members, who are presumably law-abiding gun owners, would need to discuss ways to defeat microstamping.

it's your soapbox. And a good one. I can understand how discussion of a violation of the law might reflect on the site. But proposed legislation is something I think any voter should discuss.

Perhaps a more intelliginty phrased subject line would have been better.
