Had I seen the original post, I would've thought it was facetious.

To me and other gay-allies, especially in Hollywood back in the 80's, that was a common type of "Go ahead, I dare you" comment hurled at standard idiot homophobes.

Is there a chance that's what he meant? Did anyone ask?

I see now that MFM made a dumb mistake thinking that his intent would be understood and also that you kind of see that you may have misunderstood his intent.

I hope you two can talk it out and that you'll let him back into our community.
