A forum that is dedicated to holding Republicans accountable? I am a long time Democrat who clearly sees the difference between Republicans and Democrats. Heck, after the debt fiasco, with House Republicans holding our Nation hostage, you would think the difference is self evident. Yet, much of DU still seems dedicated to attacking and tearing down Democrats.
Can we have a forum that is dedicated to holding Republicans accountable. We are going into election season, so it would be great to have a place where the crazy crap said by Republicans is called out, and liberals don't have to wade through forums where the Greatest Hits are dominated by anti-Democratic topics, and lies that there is no difference between Republicans and Democrats.
I understand that moderators have a tough job trying to screen out right wingers who are trying to forment dissent. Why not make it easier by have a forum that is dedicated to holding Republicans accountable. If someone wants to rip on Democrats for not being left enough or no different from Republicans, there is the rest of DU. But, if someone wants to keep the heat on Republicans, lets have a forum dedicated to that, particularly in the midst of primary season when Republicans are apt to say crazy things to pander to the flat earth crowd.
I saw in your response to another poster complaining about anti-Democratic propaganda that some real Democrats are genuinely unhappy with the Democrats. Fine, but most aren't according to most polling data, yet DU is dominated by threads designed to tear down Democrats. So, if we can't stop DU from generally being a gripe fest against Democrats, then let us at least create a forum where the focus is on the other party, Republicans. This would be easy to moderate. If someone starts talking anti-Democratic smack, then just put it in General Discussion.
Simple and easy.
