Need a pre-emptive ruling on calling for candidates to step down.
Here in New Jersey a number of Democrats defected and voted for Chris Christie's union-busting bill.

At the next county committee meeting, if they ever allow them to take place here again, I will be introducing a resolution condemning the three defectors from our county, and calling upon them to withdraw from the race.

The rules, logically, do not allow for calling for a candidate's defeat. But do they allow for us to call for a Democratic candidate to withdraw and be replaced with another Democrat? In other words, can I discuss my pending action here?

1. Honestly, I don't know any of the specifics here.
If your resolution would have the (intended or unintended) effect of helping the Republicans, then my preference would be that you not post it. But from what you are telling me, I don't really know what the effect would be.

So I guess you can take your chances.
