I'm not sure why a post explaining how a self-professed conservative isn't the best source to link to at DU. Please help me understand. Thanks in advance.

2. Thanks for the answer. That one really confused me.

I appreciate the restoration of the post, but I'm more interested in avoiding having my (AFAIK) rule-abiding posts deleted in the first place. It's a real conversation killer.

Any advice on how to avoid having posts like that deleted in the future? If I changed the rhetorical question into a simple opinion statement--e.g., change "Why are DUers...?" into "I don't think DUers should be..."--would that help avoid the itchy trigger finger of deletion?
