How can we block those graphically nasty ads on front?

My question is in this thread. Why can't DU give us a choice to block those graphically nasty ads? They're glaring right in our face. Not one but two same ads on front page on the left.

1. I'm sorry to say that there isn't a way to do this.
I think, when we move into our new software, donors will not see those ads.
