i have been curious about this recently when i heard something about the number of deleted posts matter to status at du. deleted posts stay on our record. for years i was clueless and thought nothing of deleted posts. now i understand that posts that are deleted stay with us.
many times i get deleted along with a subthread. i havent broken any rule, but i easily see why the subthread was deleted. it didnt matter to me because i was not the person breaking rules. since i have heard about deleted posts, i am now concerned.
this thread:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=439&topic_id=99231&mesg_id=99231i keep getting deleted along with the others and i am working hard addressing the few issues amongst the personal attacks. i am not name calling. but i am not shutting up either. does this effect my status? is this taken into consideration that it is a subthread and not really about me breaking the rules? why do i care the number of deleted posts on my record?
i am often in controversial discussion. it is what i enjoy. so i am often in the middle of deleted subthreads.
thanks.
