Implementing a Donation Forum would be an excellent way for struggling DU members to help them
through difficult times.
I would like to request this proposal for all the people who might benefit from such a forum.
I realize there could be people who might take advantage of others generosity. However, I also believe that there could be safe guards put in place to ensure the people requesting help receive it. This is something I think the DU community could find beneficial. Sometimes people need a hand in troubling times. I know that I could use it, and it isn't easy asking fellow strangers for help, but sometimes there is no other way to compensate for a lack of funds to survive these troubling times we are living in. Also if someone wanted to donate their money to help someone else then that would be their decision.
Please give this some consideration and hopefully you will make the right decision.
as someone who requested a grant of permission and never receiving an answer, I figured there had to be a reason to not grant me permission. It is never easy to ask for assistance, and believe me if I didn't think it necessary I definitely would not have done so.
And then there is of course the condition of you receiving requests that can get lost in the other PM's you receive that it could have fallen through the cracks. But I do know someone else had written to you about my case and I decided to write you as well. Again these things can get lost in the other requests you probably have to deal with as the Admin.
Email is usually better than private message for me. I try to keep up with my private messages, but sometimes I fall pretty far behind. I'm mot making excuses. Just saying.
