A suggestion about the cables that are being leaked

Hi guys. I just had a thought. As Wikileaks are supposed to be releasing roughly another 251,000 cables over the next few months (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x9647592">see here for details) and judging by how things went after just a couple of hundred were released, DU could potentially be completely smothered with them. If practical and not too complicated, would it be a good idea to have a forum dedicated to them?

If you're overstretched and needed any help with moderating, I wouldn't mind giving a hand...

...but unless we disallowed them in GD, people would still flood the GD forum anyway.

2. I was thinking more of a WikiLeaks LBN forum

Or something similar. If you look at LBN right now it's chock full of articles about and related to them and I think it's going to continue for quite a while.

I don't know it could mean extra hassle or the reverse for the moderators, but it does seem that any other news stories are getting lost in the WikiLeaks maelstrom.

3. As long as the articles about Wikileaks in LBN are relatively significant news stories...

...then I think we should have them in LBN. I guess if this becomes a problem we'll consider doing this.
