DU Needs Your Help -- Visit our new DU3 software preview and start posting!

Many of you are aware that the DU administrators have been working on a complete overhaul of the DU software, which we call "DU3". We have been working hard for more than a year, and we are excited to open it up again for the fourth and final preview.

Please note that only DU members who registered before January 19, 2011 are eligible to log-in to participate in this preview. Everyone else can browse the site, but cannot log in. Please note that because we imported the DU user data in January, if you have changed your password here on DU since then, you will have to use the password you had back in January in order to log in to DU3. (If you don't know your password, you can use the DU3 lost password function to have a temporary password assigned.)

There are lots of new surprises waiting to be discovered! ;) Don't be shy about trying out all the features and functions -- this is just a preview, and the DU3 database will be wiped clean for the official launch.

7. Don't know if this is a bug

or some other problem. I have changed my DU password since my last visit to DU3 (way back when) and DU3 is not recognizing my new password. I don't want to get a temp password for DU3 since the password works for DU.

Tried to post this on DU3 bug thread but ... I couldn't login :)

After you log into DU3, just click "My Account."

But I think you will find that the Groups are much more active on DU3 than DU2. So, the Barack Obama Group or the Democrats Group might work well as a replacement.

The Barack Obama 'group' will not work as a replacement, they want to stick to their old rules there - so hearty passionate debate are not going to be allowed there.

And the 'groups' do not have links out in the open like the links for Soapbox, LBN, etc.
So, moving to a 'group' is really kicking us all to the curb ;(

I think it is wrong to eliminate one of the main DU2 groups just because we're moving to DU3.

I mean, it has been stated and, in fact determined by the host of BOG that no discussion will be allowed if that discussion varies from the view point of about 2 people.

I posted there for 7 years and I will miss both of those forums and many of the people very much. I know that discussions would get very heated sometimes, is that the reason for the elimination? I still found the forums to be informative with many productive discussions. Hope you reconsider......

Try logging in again.

I don't remember my username.

I would like to create a new account with the username Shampoobra.

Thinking maybe we all had to re-register for DU3, I clicked the 3rd option but was redirected to the same login page.
