Are YOU Occupying?
So far I only know of Rabblevox other than myself that is actually occupying. Is there anyone else out there? I think it is important to have and keep contacts from other occupations close (no matter how far away they are) for 3 major reasons:
1:dispell any rumors that may be circulating
2:to help with ideas and tactics, things that work an dont
3:true solidarity

If you are an occupier, please post here and where you are so we can all keep in contact

Solidarity

5. My mom has decided that we will be occupying
Edited on Wed Nov-16-11 09:52 AM by JustAnotherGen
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!

She's flying down the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Wednesday morning wedding stuff to do, then she, my fiance and me will be heading into Midtown from NJ to see the Rockettes, do dinner, spend the night, then head out to the parade.

But Tuesday night she wants me to stop at Michael's so that she can make the three of us signs . . . to hold stating: Rochester NY (in her case) and Bridgewater NJ (in our case) Supports OWS.

She turns 64 on Friday - so do the math. She's ALWAYS been a liberal, progressive and was a serious rabble rouser in her youth.

For the life of her . . . she can't understand why they aren't Occupying the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

So since it's not 'out there' yet - she intends for the three of us to woman up and man up and 'Git Er Done!

Love, love, love my mom! We need more of those boomers involved - because they know that they can change things if they rabble rouse. And they know how to 'zing' and go.

Does anyone know if they intend to infuse themselves in the parade? Post parade we are bringing food over to them.

10. I've visited the site quickly - but not any real involvement
at this point I can't do it (others may have the same problems - if they work for 1%ers they are not going to want to be seen there - but they will contribute online)

I know some DUers who have been there - meganmonkey has visited multiple sites (NY, Chicago, and I believe Detroit this weekend) and is writing about her experiences (check her journal or contact me for a link to her blog), starry messenger is out near Oakland and she has been to a few marches as far as I know.
