It took a little while for Rick Perry's "full redneck" idiot performances to bring his poll numbers down, it didn't happen immediately.

Any savvy veteran election/media/poll watchers care to comment on the typical lag time for a scandal like Cain's to seep into general awareness and affect his polling?

Yes there will always be some idiots who circle the wagons no matter what but I find it hard to imagine this will not bring down his polling in the short term and accelerate the process of his dropping out of the race, which in my opinion was inevitable long before this scandal just due to the fact that he's a clown with no political resume who's not running seriously.

1. Why Is It Hard To Believe
Why is it hard to believe that only one in four Republicans would support a serial sexual harasser, with a crackpot tax plan, who has had several positions on abortion, didn't know China had nukes, never heard of the Law Of Return, and would trade all the prisoners in Gitmo for one American soldier?

My only surprise is why he isn't doing better.

2. I've heard about 3 days.
It makes sense. Many missed the original event and many are also are affected by how the news media and pundits frame it.

4. You're asking for a Cain-esque response you probably don't want to hear
And it probably contains the phrase "Shake-n-Bake"

5. You are forgetting that the tea baggers want a complete asshole in the WH to destroy
the new deal and progressive taxes. A sexual harrasser is just the ticket.
