How about some credit for the President
Democrats, can we start giving our President some credit for accomplishments
made under his watch. He just came off of vacation that wasn't really a vacation. All in one week he oversaw efforts with the earthquake, Hurricane Irene, killed Al-queda's second in command, all while closely monitoring the toppling of Khadafi. A revolution he started. How about giving him credit for the most efficient war in the history of mankind. Only six months in Libya,no US casualty's and only 1.5 billion. Hooray for you Mr. President!!!

2. He does deserve credit for THOSE things.
Maybe some day we can give him credit for fixing the economy.

3. Not many Progressives giving him kudos. Plenty to criticize him
and denigrate him, but when he does something right, nary a word of congrats.

Sad that a Democratic President on DU gets more criticism and loathing than praise.

9. that's actually false
in your zeal to protect Obama from unfairness, you are being unfair to his critics. We do often give him credit for things he has done right, as we see it.

5. I think it incorrect to say
that he STARTED the Libyan revolution ... that is not true, as I understand things. But, of course, he certainly nurtured it with critical military and political pressure.

I am an Obama critic living in a house full of Obama critics ... still we must give him his due. The running joke around here is that when Bush went on vacation, he cleared brush. When Obama goes on vacation, he clears bad guys. :)

7. Sure. He far exceeds the previous POTUS in administrative capabilities.

Funny which of Bush's mistakes he learns from.

Edit to add: I want to give him credit for performing well. But the banks, corporations, and oil companies he works for benefit most from these successes. Why does he always fail at helping poor folks?

12. Height of hypocrisy
All the conservatives called it a war didn't they? The first speech he did in Egypt after he was elected planted the seeds for revolution. So now you're not calling it a war? You repubs want it both ways. Republicans oppose the president at every turn. If it where Bush who was in charge, yall would be singing his praises andd throwing him flowers.

13. it is a war, of course
the only one who denied that was Obama, when he had to do his legal maneuvers to get around some inconvenient laws.

10. is this post tongue in cheek? I dont see the sarcasm thingie.
You mean the earthquake non-story, the Hurricane that was representative of Hurricanes that hit the nation YEARLY and second in command at AQ could mean the cab driver in Kabul by now.

And Libya... lol... the Europeans conspired to topple Khadafi because Khadafi threatened to sign OIL CONTRACTS with INDIA and CHINA... and ordered Obama to assist in the project.

So Obama did... WHAT???

Oh and 1.5 BILLION dollars spent to ensure the profitability of European OIL companies isn't my idea of a sound investment.

15. No, can't have "TEH LIST" - people freak out over it.
Positive accomplishments around here are trivialized or ignored. Some will still say, probably with a straight face if you could see them, that the Obama administration hasn't done anything.

Who needs the Corporate MSM? Corners of the Left do their work just fine.
