3. Unfortunately and again, he's not a dictator.
We got the Hillary plan folks. ;) That said, at least we can buy into the non-profit federal employee plan.

11. Hillary was for mandated corporate coverage.
DES MOINES, Iowa - For months, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton has promised a plan to bring health care to every American.

She made good on that pledge Monday, unveiling a sweeping proposal requiring everyone to carry health insurance and offering federal subsidies to help reduce the cost of coverage.

With a price tag of about $110 billion per year, Clinton's "American Health Choices Plan" represents her first major effort to achieve universal health coverage since 1994, when the plan she authored during her husband's first term collapsed.

'Individual mandate'
The former first lady says she has learned from that experience, which almost derailed Bill Clinton's presidency and helped put Republicans in control of Congress for years to come. Aides say she has jettisoned the complexity and uncertainty of the last effort in favor of a plan that stresses simplicity, cost control and consumer choice.

The centerpiece of Clinton's plan is the so-called "individual mandate," requiring everyone to have health insurance - just as most states require drivers to purchase auto insurance. Rival John Edwards has also offered a plan that includes an individual mandate, while the proposal outlined by Barack Obama does not.

It was one of the reasons I couldn't consider voting for her in the caucus, and would have had a hard time voting for her in November, had she won the nomination.

(Yeah I know, cruel irony and all that.... :evilfrown: )

4. i'm going to say your headline is off for now, atleast until such a time
that i can see the conference report that will have the 'proper' bill

In all honesty i wouldn't be surprised if Obama had promised to paint the sky indigo with pink polka dots just to get it out of the senate so it can actually be worked on proper(obviously the painting job would be the first thing to go :p )

8. Hey, I've got a great idea! Let's privatize EVERYTHING! And throw in
that antitrust exemption for ALL industries. Why just let the insurance companies be able to get together and collude to fix prices? Open it up to ALL industries!

Don't forget the part about FORCING all Americans to buy Social Security accounts at Merrill Lynch or BOA, and Medicare at their local hospitals. We do NOT want any options! Otherwise, it might hurt the industry.
