Obama out classes Perry by talking calmly to teabagger as Perry loses temper and pokes college student in chest

Look at how President Obama deals with an extremely rude Teabagger the same day Governor Rick Perry pokes a college student in the chest after he asked a question that Perry didn't like. Sadly, if President Obama had treated the rude Teabagger the way that Perry treated the college student, President Obama would have been taken to task. Already the run in with the Teabagger is being sensationalized despite the fact he was calm and treated the rude Teabagger with respect.

Video showing the two is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHNtev6WX34&feature=player_embedded

1. Notice how the allegedly "liberal, pro-Obama" MSM ignores Perry's physical bullying.
Thanks for bringing this to our notice, sir. I hope Obama 2012 is going to make a campaign ad out of that chest poked student's run-in with Perry, as it's very likely that that bully will be the nominee.

4. That's because ALL media wants to emphasize drama and conflict...
and mock or ignore common sense and civility. In this Reality TV world, dontcha know that mean ugly and rude is what gets ratings? and attention? and air play?

Perry is a fucking bully punk arrogant lying piss. (am I being obtuse??? lol) I have seen the man in action in a totally NON political and public arena. He is obnoxious, self-loving and elitist to the core.

Our President is a civil and gracious, decent and intelligent man. Not a bad way to walk through life.

period.

2. One thing you need to remember.
There's a large demographic out there that thrives on public displays of anger. It reminds them of their own anger. They equate it with being pro-active. Some equate it with a team mentality in sports where everything is a battle with a winner and a loser. This kind of crowd doesn't want debate or discussion. It wants hormones and blood and death. The demonstration of anger and frustration gets their adrenalin going. They don't care about "class" and being civilized. Obama is not their cup of tea because he's "too nice" and too intellectual.

5. After complaining about being called names, the 'bagger went on to call Obama a "socialist"
Edited on Tue Aug-16-11 02:30 PM by JohnnyRingo
Which was one of the most hideous names a Tea Bagger can call someone in their opinion.
Way to tone down the rhetoric asshole.

If he doesn't want to be labeled a terrorist, maybe his group can quit plotting the downfall of the United States government as we know it.

Perry is a bully swaggering arrogant lying murderer, (google Perry knowingly executes innocent man...) He carries a gun to a public fair? C'mon what a irresponsible ass! Calling the Fed Chairman a traitor is just another example of his irresponsibility.

9. Why bother even engaging these people?
These people had an agenda and it's not like they were interested in hearing anything Obama had to say anyways. They were interested in simply perpetuating their own pathetic and false sense of victimhood and persecution. It's just par for the course for these people. "Woh is me, the poor persecuted conservative."

I'll give Obama this - the guy NEVER loses his cool. It's amazing considering all the crap people throw his way.

Should make a great ad. Someone send this to Colbert. "Rick Perry is constantly having to defend himself from the assault of students and their questions".

17. This is a pretty dramatic contrast - thanks for posting it.
It's interesting that the man talking to Gov. Perry was calm, rationale and clearly was just trying to get a substantive question answered. On the other hand, the people who tried to gang up on the President weren't there to get information but were obviously trying to challenge him. So it's particularly compelling that Perry responded the way he did to a simple request for information while the President responded as he did to a ham-handed attempt to ambush him.
