OH POLL: Obama 45, Romney 43; Obama 45, Perry 41; Obama 48, Bachman 41.
Obama edges Romney, Perry in Ohio

Raleigh, N.C. – Ohio has been the quintessential battleground for much of recent U.S.
presidential election history, and in PPP’s latest poll of the Buckeye State, President
Obama leads all but one of his potential Republican opponents by single-digit margins.
Obama defeated John McCain in the state by almost five points, and poll respondents
report having voted for him by only three. In that sense, only Mitt Romney and perhaps
Rick Perry outperform the 2008 nominee at the present moment. Obama leads Romney
by only two points, 45-43, a little bit of closure since PPP last polled the race in May,
when Obama led, 46-42. The newest entrant, Perry, is down, 45-41. Michele Bachmann
trails, 48-41; Herman Cain, 47-39; and Palin, 51-38, down from 50-40 in May.

1. Obama's approval is only low in a vacuum... when compared to his likely challengers, he is ahead

EVERY politicians individual ratings are down.... but the real question is when you compare them to their opponents.

10. And when you consider that this is his lowest ebb...
Right now, Obama is looking his worst, and the Republicans are looking their best, before they start getting enough media exposure for people to know how fucking insane they are.

2. Not that it means much at this point in time, but
that's not too bad, given the incredible amount of nastiness and bad things in recent weeks.

5. There is no Dem edge in Ohio
If it even appears close it will be lost as the voter intimidation, misinformation and possible miss count will always end in a rethug victory.

7. To all the people who think Republicans can't the WH--and ruin our lives. This poll is a perfect ex.
Repubs are very close to Obama. Not all of them are double digit seperate. You can all bet Republicans can take over again.

9. what strange alternative universe is there where 41% of adults would ever consider electing Michele
Bachmann President of the United States - and commander and chief of the world's only remaining super-power? Of course Perry is just as bad. But I can imagine how an emotionally driven and under-informed person might possibly be bamboozled by this snake oil salesman. But Michele Bachmann is an obvious and transparent extremist kook who is as dumb as dog shit. It is is flat-out impossible for a moral and rational adult to even consider it. Has some strange and dark ethereal zone now swallowed up the universe we once knew and replaced it with this warped version of reality where Rod Serling's imagination now dictates reality?

13. According to Gallup, 40% of the electorate call themselves "conservative".
So, any Repub is going to get that base 40%. We just have to convince the other 60% that they're nuts. ;)

11. Way too Close! Easily Close Enough for the Rethugs to Steal
The teabaggers control 27 states with 270 electoral votes.
In every one of them, they are doing voter ID laws and every
other form of voter suppression they can. If it is at all
close, they will be doing this on election night:

14. There is a phrase that comes to mind.
"It's the economy stupid"

If the President doesn't do something drastic and soon, those numbers are going to get worse.
