Does President Obama Love America? Rick Perry: ‘You Need To Ask Him’ (VIDEO)
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Just hours after presidential candidate Rick Perry said that he would be the kind of president who would be “passionate” about America, the Texas governor suggested that President Obama may not share the sentiment.

“I think you want a president who is passionate about America -- that’s in love with America,” Perry said during a visit to the Iowa State Fair on Monday.

At a Republican Party event Monday night, a reporter asked Perry whether he was suggesting that President Obama does not love America.

“You need to ask him,” Perry responded. “I’m saying, you’re a good reporter, go ask him”

1. in a story where Rick Parry questions Obama's patriotism
they MUST mention how Rick Perry threatened to secede. It is REQUIRED, and they failed to do it.

2. Wouldn't be surprised
if he tries to walk that back. Yes, it's red meat to the crazy right but independents will not like this kind of attack at all.

7. "In love with America" is a really creepy phrase.
Edited on Tue Aug-16-11 11:06 AM by Armstead
One can "love America" or "love my country."

But be "in love with America?"

No we fall "in love" with individuals. And it has to do with stuff like sex and overheated passion often....Applying that to a country is very oooooky and creepy.
