Perry's style is going to be a real epitomie of the Cultural/Political Divide
Watching Perry speech it's really clear that he will be extremely divisive. Not just ideologically, but culturally and socially.

Conservatives are gonna love him. His cornpone accent and swarmy evangelestic speaking style, his homey phrases, his overfed testerone levels and his basic one-dimensional, heartless and narrow minded ideology are going to resonate the right wing portion of the country.

Those same characteristics will make the skin crawl on liberals, and any socialy tolerant person.

Watching him, the stark divisions in basic values and worldviews of the right and left these days, thatbis much larger than politics.

6. See - midterms, 2012 ...
If the dems don't get in the game at their level, Perry most assuredly can win ...

I don't know what fantasy land some people here have been in the last three years, but with a MSM that will all flitter over this clown while doing all it can to marginalize our president, given the fervor with which the other team will go after our president 100 percent, while we have idiots spewing the same talking points about our president that they love ...

7. I think he is too extreme to win
For instance Wall Street is wary of him. Teabaggers could win in their districts but would not win countrywide. I think Romney would do better but still.. he's a mormon so the energized looney base of the repugs wouldn't take to him.

8. The whole party is extreme at this point ...
It has paid off for them ...

Decades of buying and bullying the media has gotten the whole party to the point where they now know they can say anything they darn well please and have next to no chance to be held accountable for it ...

2. 4 more years of Presidential Cowboy Boots....
turdblossums, hay bails in the all photo ops and brush-clearing on the hog farm.

I'm tired already. Like watching a re-run of the same "B" movie.. over and over and over.

3. He's the best possible opponent for Obama who could actually get the nomination
A totally unelectable loon like Bachmann or Palin would be better, but they're too crazy for even the Republicans. Perry is just crazy enough to be nominated, and then Obama could run against Bush - again!

The only reason to prefer Romney as nominee is on the chance that Perry might actually win the general.

4. Perry / Bachmann 2012
I think that will be the ticket.

Obama will have a fight, if we all sit this one out (which is a possibility), well... I just don't know if I can stand to be here anymore.

5. Obviously you were away last November ...
You might want to check in on how things turned out in the mid term last November, because a BUTTLOAD of wild eyed extremist lunatics like Perry took over the House and cut the margin in the senate to one seat ...

Sorry, this is America 2012, with a media that is just going to LOVE this clown, and will tear down our president at every stop.
