Poll question: How would you grade Republicans' success at bringing bipartisanship to DC?
Edited on Mon Aug-08-11 09:58 PM by jenmito
I think it's a fair question, and I have a feeling that the vast majority of Americans would agree with the results I expect to get here.

1. They have been wildly successful in persuading our Democratic President to adopt their agenda
or at least the very important aspects of their agenda. In that regard, they have fostered too much bipartisanship in DC.

2. That seems to have been their only success.

5. Well, we see you aren't bipartisan! You leave the fucked up Republicans alone
and dog out the President. Now that's partisan!

8. Only on DU could a supposed Democrat be proud of ...
relentlessly smearing the Democratic President while giving the sleazoid Republicans a pass.

12. I'm so glad you can judge who and what I "leave alone" from one sentence
Coming from the Bill Frist school of long distance diagnosis and mind reading eh? I don't spend one fucking day where I don't rave about what vile bastards the repubs are, and in fact posted a few minutes ago about my unpleasant run in with a repub today where he blamed Obama for this financial crisis and I yelled at him that he was an ignorant asshole and to keep his fucking mouth shut. And I mean yelled, where other people in the gym were staring at us. I don't have to justify, document or defend my long history of supporting AND working for Democratic candidates (including Barack Obama) and values, since I was teenager (I'm 60 ). So take your fucking insults somewhere else.

13. P.S. here's part of my "leaving the republicans alone" from earlier today:
"he kept opening his big old brainwashed-by-Fox mouth, and I finally let him have it (and he called me some ugly stuff too). There will be more of this for many if not all of us , in the future ,I'm afraid, and I really try to not have any political conversations with repubs. They're brainwashed idiots and there's no talking sense or logic with em, but this asswipe forced the issue."

10. Given how poorly the Repukes grade out
at bi-partisanship, why do you suppose the President doesn't see what the rest of us see. This bi-partisan gang of 12 was endorsed by the President. Why? What does he expect from them that he and the Speaker couldn't accomplish?
