I am LOVING Melissa Harris-Perry as Maddow's guest host
She is outstanding.

I'm not sure if she'd want to leave her teaching job, but she'd be an excellent permanent host somewhere in the MSNBC lineup.

1. There's something about her that makes me feel like everything's
going to be alright. And she's classy as Hell.

3. True. She's so smart and calm and logical
And she's so clear, she could explain alternate side of the street parking to a cranberry . . .

5. I Rarely Miss Rachel's Show But Didn't See it Tonight
Will try and catch it on re-run. I agree that Melissa always does a great job as commenter and I can see her doing well in a host role. I was so impressed with her written smack down of Cornell West about his attack on the president. If you haven't read it track it down. I t was in the Nation magazine I believe.

7. I was lucky.
At first I was disappointed that Ms. Maddow wasn't on...gotta feed my crush on her, you know. But I'd seen this lady as a guest in the past and stayed tuned. She's very good and very smart. I don't think she would ever try some of the goofier stuff that R.M. pulls, but that wouldn't be in her nature. In my book, intelligent and sincere ranks right up there with intelligent and funny. Hope she does this again.

...Just had an idea! Yesterday in the AM, while I was listening to morning radio,
Aisha Tyler did -- as always -- a wonderfully smart and funny guest bit on the
Stephanie Miller show. (She graduated from Dartmouth, you know, not just another
beautiful face.)

It's asking TOO MUCH, but I'd like to see the two of them some time, with each
given the opportunity to showcase her best:

smart, insightful, ...just totally wonderful.

Just a thought.

13. I haven't seen her yet. I really really can't stand Chris Hayes when he fills in for her though
I don't know what it is about him exactly, but he just gets on my nerves.

16. He's a really good guy. He goes on Morning Joe and gives it to Scar.
He just seems a little hyped up most of the time.
