Screw "balance" if it means we go to hell faster
Edited on Mon Jul-25-11 09:54 PM by Armstead
Yes I'm pissed and this is venting.

We had a golden opportunity to begin to turn the tide in 2008 -- at least somewhat to the left towards a REAL balance. But we blew it.

This "balanced approach" of Obama's is going to devastate any ability to move back towards economic and social justice within my lifetime. (I've probably got about 25 years left.)

Now the only alternative to awful GOP policies is lame do-nothing "same old same old." And that is going to continue to make things worse.

Sheeeeeeeeit.

Venting over.

2. K&R to bring it back to zero
some people don't want to face the truth. This administration is over. Even if it's re-elected, it can't ever do anything worthwhile again. The cave-in on the tax cuts and the coming cave-in on Social Security means that this will, by definition, end up being a right-of-center administration on the balance. You can't call yourself a progressive if you don't defend the social wage.

5. Social justice will only come when people demand it
It will never come from the top down, never has, never will.
